Railway & Subway

Warra Subway was constructed 1911-1912 by Queensland Railways for the safety of pedestrians.

This underpass is one of the few remaining on the Western Line, when rail traffic was so frequent that people moving from one side of the railway line to the other put their lives at risk, necessitating the building of the Warra Subway.

Recent renovations have shored up the structure, and preserved it as a site of historic significance.
